Does it make sense to use Phalcon?

Hypothetically, the choice of a development tool is again a hypothetical project (or in general, just for fun). You can choose any php framework, such as yii, silex, brake symphony2 or phalcon.
Phalcon is quite productive, but you can't install it on virtual hosting, so you need VDS.
But, since there is VDS, it can generally use something else (more productive), for example, Node.js.
Does it make sense to mess with such a specific thing as a compiled framework, or is it better to direct efforts to the same node.js, which will still be faster.

You have a mess: you are comparing solutions that are used in completely different niches.
Well, how can you choose between yii and node.js? 1354789378_jackie.jpg

This is clear.
But still, Node.js is asynchronous, so you need to work only with non-blocking operations, then there should be no brakes.
Yes, and hh.ru only has 3 vacancies for phalcon, and 160 for node.hs.
But php is still closer;)

"brake symphony2" - you just don't know how to cook it.
and about the choice of the stack, take what is closer or what you like more. There will be users, you will think about productivity.
since you are sorting out your ears, maybe you should look towards Java, Scala?

There are hostings with Phalcon. And Jelastic.

Symfony2 has many ready-made solutions in the form of bundles that can be used to solve typical problems. It's like a plus.
