Does it make sense to learn vmware for linux administrator?
Vmware uses powershell, which I don’t want to learn at all, since I know bash. Is it possible to do without it or is it a prerequisite for working with vsphere?

There's just so much, you have to study for 5 years. No one needs narrow specialization in Russia
It depends on how you position yourself in the market:
If you are a senior tomato or aspire to it and you will have the responsibility to manage a cluster of 30+ esxi nodes, then the damage shell will definitely come in handy there.
If you are middle, then basic knowledge of setting up and maintaining vsphere - how to add a new hypervisor, set up vmotion vlane switches, add moons from storage, etc. will most likely be enough.
It seems to me that the cloud is more important today - AWS, etc.
Plus Docker/Kubernetes.
