Does it make sense to learn perl?

Hello. Do you think it's worth learning Perl to solve a wide range of tasks (including administering servers and workstations on different operating systems) or is it easier to limit yourself to python? And in case perl is still as relevant as before - which version to choose?

No. This is a creepy legacy. Op perl vacancies open when needed, and not in a stream like java or python.

Perl, which is not 6, is worth a try. At least in order to feel regular expressions and bash and glue. And then decide for yourself.
