As stated above, mathematics is not complete. Does it make sense to try to become a tester? Will ISTQB certification be of any use?

If you do not plan to test mathematical models, algorithms and something related to them, then I do not see any connection at all between mathematics and software testing.
PS Eminent certificates are never superfluous.
