Does Google advertise sites that spread viruses?
I would not disturb the respected community if it were not for this disgrace.
It took me 4 days ago to open the .fb2 file, and since it was already late at night and in a hurry, I was too lazy to go to Wikipedia to look for official websites of readers. I clicked on the first link, which turned out to be an advertisement of my favorite search engine. What a surprise it was when my computer cheerfully came to life and began to live its vibrant life. A minute later, the screen became like that of Aunt Galya's neighbor.
What was not there. Mail.ru with all its VKlassniki, some games, the amigo browser and other shit that climbed from all the cracks.
In general, I cleaned this good for about 2 hours. Only deleting tasks in the scheduler helped.
I immediately wrote to Google, but as you can see, without result. Maybe there is a person in this community who can stir up the companygood money.
ps
When installing, there are no checkboxes for third-party programs.
I don’t remember exactly, but it seems that the fun has already begun after unpacking the archive.

Usually, there are programs for earning money by installing partner software.
There are 3 places where you can cancel the installation (this is not considered a virus):
1. It happens that a checkbox with partner software is on the site BEFORE downloading the distribution kit of the software you need: you can uncheck this box.
2. Usually, items with the installation of partner software (for unchecking) are placed in "Custom installation" or "Advanced setup" (and the like).
3. Sometimes, a proposal to install additional. Software - make the next step of the installer wizard (before the direct installation of the desired product).
PS: for the future: as soon as you want to sleep - close the admin account and all remote consoles!
