Does Cisco SMARTnet offer hardware replacement?

Gentlemen and ladies who have encountered a SMARTnet subscription. Share your experience. Here I have a Cisco ASA 5505, which I bought on eBay. After some time, the Ethernet 0/0 port stops working in it. When the cable is connected, the LEDs blink randomly, but the packets do not come or go. All other ports are fine. The problem is 99% iron, because. I already reset the configs and put ports in one VLAN - the result is the same - eth 0/0 does not work with data, all other ports - no problem.
If I purchase SMARTnet for this device, will it be covered under warranty repair/replacement?
On the one hand, Cisco declares that:
To meet critical networking needs, the
possibility of proactive replacement of equipment is provided.

But I would like to hear the experience of the community on this issue, because. I see no point in purchasing SMARTnet for other support options for myself.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

@sergrok

You will not be able to buy smartnet for this piece of iron. smartnet can be purchased by someone who previously purchased this piece of hardware from an authorized cisco dealer.
