Does Bluetooth need to be enabled when using the iBeacon for iOS app?

Good day to all!
Does Bluetooth need to be enabled when using the iBeacon for iOS app? There is an opinion that it is not necessary, because. there is Bluetooth LE (Low Energy), which is allegedly turned on in the device all the time. Is it true? Also interested in how to display the icon on the lock screen in the lower left corner when the phone caught the iBeacon beacon?

Answer to the first question:
To use iBeacon, you need iOS 7 or later, Bluetooth turned on , and a compatible iOS device.

Answer to the second question:
You can read about handoff here https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentat... , but I doubt that it is possible to implement something about than you say, since the technology is aimed at other things. iBeacon will allow you to push the local notification, and you will see it on the local screen too, but only with an inscription, an icon and EVEN SOUND. It's better :D
