Does anyone in St. Petersburg need python courses "for beginners"?
I thought about the fact that there is free time and a willingness to share knowledge in the field of python in the form of a small course. Yes, and the university walls in terms of infrastructure allow.
What do you think, does anyone need it at all, or does everyone who wants to study everything themselves?

For free? Python? Give me two.
Seriously, if there is time and opportunity during my studies, I would gladly attend these courses (4th year of St. Petersburg State University).
Of course, it’s real to study it yourself, but it’s much easier when someone structures information for you
Then an additional question. Where to write about the place and time? (I think we will start in September) :)
+1, why am I not in St. Petersburg :(
I would go with great interest to some kind of training course on how to write in Python “in a pythonic way”. Because often Pythonic approaches are not obvious to a hardened PHP mind, but doing everything beautifully is I want to. :)
In general, use TeamViewer - you will gather much more people who want to. + Basics is not so interesting, because. the basics can be downloaded from torrents - there are already prepared video lectures, quite an acceptable level.
Dear ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for such a long time lag with the answer. I have 2 news for you. Good and bad.
Bad: There will be no courses.
Good: There will be courses. We will do everything in the form of webinars.
For more detailed information, so as not to spam too much here, I wrote in a blog that I started for our purposes of teaching the basics of Python: pythononneva.blogspot.com
PS
Although no one bothers us, if we wish, to gather to solve problems somewhere in a cozy cafe.
Although with a very long delay, I will be glad to see everyone on October 23 at 21:00. Details on the course blog.
What is the minimum level of training needed for these classes to be useful?) I'm not strong in programming and I'm afraid that I'll just sit and clap my ears :(
Yes, I would really like it outside of working hours, and for example, after 19 :)
There are 2 options. Either the Akademicheskaya metro station, one of the buildings of the Polytechnic University, or Maly Prospekt V.O., a study room in an office building. After hours? Yes. Definitely. Most likely, even the first half for Saturday so that only the most persistent ones arrive. ))
Level? It's best to start with the most basic. To be able to come with minimal knowledge.
And a franchise in Moscow... Everyone learns PHP and occasionally JAVA... And no one teaches Python.
By the way, " in the form of a small course " - how small? I understand that they will not tell me the exact plan, but the approximate amount of time / information? Will it be possible after this course to say " I know python well "? Naturally, if you do not clap your ears throughout the course
