Does anyone have experience modifying the Proxmox installer iso?
I need to install Proxmox on the server , but it crashes with the error "kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block". It looks like there is no driver for Intel C602 in kernel 2.6.x.x. You can work around this by installing Debian 7 and then installing the Proxmox+3.10 kernel. But, I really want everything right out of the box.
Is it possible to modify the UltraISO program (for example) Proxmox iso installer by changing the kernel from 2.6.x.x to 3.10?
Debian 7, Centos 7, Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 2008, 2012 are installed and working on this server, but I want Proxmox out of the box.

Well, collect the kernel you need and slip it on the disk and correct the configs, who's stopping you from doing it except laziness?
You unfortunately did not specify the version of proxmox.
In version proxmox 3.3, the kernel version is kernel-3.10.0-123.6.3.el7 Unfortunately,
I'm not ready to say right now if it's the default.
I think at the moment this will be the easiest way.
PS The kernel must be used from RH, since openvz works in it. At the moment, 3.10 is not officially stable for openvz and is still being cut, but they are already ready to switch to it. Therefore, just slipping the kernel from debian proxmox will not be enough.
