Does anyone have experience connecting to Openfire certificate from StartSSL?

Googled the entire internet.
When adding via the web interface, it gives an error, does not want to be imported. When you try to add root certificates, it says that they have already been added, but they are not displayed in the interface. Tried with password and without password - to no avail.
Help, can anyone come across

it looks like you didn't use the certificate request CSR from your iis server when generating the certificate
