Does a systems analyst need to know programming at the Junior level or higher?

Hello. For me, the concept of a system analyst and programmer is like an architect (system analyst) and a builder (programmer). How right am I in this, dear programmers and analysts? I know that a sys.analyst should know the principle of building an information system, the principle of designing a database, IDEF0 1 2 3, UML, perhaps design patterns. How to be in this regard with programming? And are sys.analysts in demand at all?

A very good, downright cool system analyst - must have a senior developer level
. And for an ordinary analyst, it is not at all necessary to even know where the "On" button is on the computer.

must know Python / R
met the opinion that R is preferable
