Does a Java programmer need to know Wordpress, Joomla, etc.?

The question is, is there any practical benefit for a future Java programmer to learn Wordpress, Joomla, etc.?
Will it expand his horizons or is it a waste of time and better to devote it to your language?
It's just that on the same freelance sites there are practically no tasks in Java, but in abundance - to finalize Wordpress, pull the layout for a certain PHP engine.
And the broader question, what then is worth studying? For example, CSS, html, js, databases - in any case, they will be useful, at least basic knowledge of them.

No, it doesn `t need.
Even a PHP programmer doesn't need to know this.

but in abundance - to finalize Wordpress, to pull the layout for a certain engine in PHP.
Naturally, there are always more unskilled and low-paid jobs.
Usually they start with this, but then they go to more interesting and profitable areas.

Java developer doesn't know DBMS? You surprise me. I would say that working with databases for a Java developer is a necessary skill.

There are few freelance Java jobs. This is fine.
Basically, Java is an enterprise, i.e. large companies, banking systems, analytics and more. Another big layer of Java work is Android development. On freelancing sometimes appears, but also not so much. The fact that there is a lot of work on freelancing like "putting the layout on Wordpress" is a pure kind of work for food. Many can do it, the question is how qualitatively. And since there are a lot of developers, then the prices go down to an prohibitive minimum.
I advise you not to get stuck on freelance sites, and even more so on Russian ones. Look for your client on the net, make a beautiful business card for your site with a description of development services. Advertise yourself online. As a rule, large clients usually work with the contractor directly, bypassing the exchanges.

Learn Java and related technologies further. The question would not arise if the level in java development was sufficient.
With an entry level, it's better not to waste time looking for a client, just prepare and go to java junior.

Java is not freelancing. Freelancing is basically layout and design, i.e. This is for designers and layout designers.
And Java is a full-time (remote or in-office) job on a long-term project.
You did the right thing by choosing Java if you are a programmer.
Try to get a Java programmer internship if you have knowledge of the language. At work, experience comes faster.
