Question for those who played CTF on the hacher101CTF website or on any other. How often do you use hints? Is it better to use hints if you don't know what to do next, or is it better to try to pass by yourself at any cost, without using hints? And does their use interfere with your growth in this area?

Better - try to understand and reach your mind.
If there is no way at all, you need to understand this with the help of a hint: why exactly this way and not otherwise. And to study it more deeply and remember.
