Do you use ENUM and SET types in the database?

1. Do you use ENUM and SET types in your database?
2. If not, why not? How do you prohibit the use in projects (settings, indication, ...)?
Reasons for abandoning ENUM .
I ran into the problem of supporting these types in Doctrine and some libraries. And I looked at it in a new way, if it's just text, then constants can be defined at the model level, and at least stored in the database INT.
