Yes, the invention is good - earlier in Q&A it was impossible to answer if you were read_only. And you know the answer, and you are not averse to helping a person. IMHO now there will be more answers, good and true.

We need to see how it will interact with karma. Before you ask a stupid question or answer stupidly, you can fly in. And if there is no karma here, just a bunch of pervonahs will get divorced

IMHO, if there is no "stick" in the system, but only "carrots", then the service will die under the onslaught of people for whom the fact of writing an answer is more valuable than its content. All social networks suffer from this. This issue is discussed here on the toaster .
