Backup

Do you regularly back up quite large amounts of data (~500GB) from your home PC to a remote location?

What is the best way to solve this problem? I regularly make backups on the HDD, which is in my apartment - but I want to protect myself from fires, etc. I found the solution for myself in that once every six months I upload a backup to a Yandex disk, but the slow upload speed (1 - 2 Mbps) upsets me. I don't know how to influence the rate of return upwards. Maybe there are some more convenient methods than casting to the cloud?

See what the problem is.
If the problem is in the transmission speed, you need either a wider channel, or minimize the amount of transmitted data.
For example, you make a backup for six months - do you really add 500GB in six months that need to be archived? Or are you just retransferring data that is already in the archive?

Try copying only the data that has changed.
For example, the rclone... utility allows you to use the sync key.
Checks and compares files and copies only changed data.
