Do you often remember the names of many project files?

There are many files in the project. To add certain functionality to the application, you need to make changes to a set of files and sometimes create new ones. The problem is that each time you have to remember which file is responsible for which area, and what the naming of this file is in general (and there are many such files in the project). Are there any ways to simplify the development process? Maybe at the design stage? But what if the project files are fully developed on the first edit? In order not to open many times for updates, within 3 months.

There are 2 hard problems in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-1 errors.
