Do you need a miniature GPS tracker?

There is an idea to create a miniature GPS tracker in the form of a stylish keychain. A beautiful plastic case in different colors, dimensions 40x40 mm (thickness is estimated from 5 to 7 mm), charging via mini- or microUSB, communication via GPRS (mini- or microSIM), adjustable tracking interval, online service for viewing tracks. The cost is approximately $100. Drawing of the image for small additional payment is possible.
What do you think, will it shoot or is it better not to? Would you like such a keychain for yourself (your wife, child)?

Add a panic button, write a stable monitoring system and sign a contract :)

The main thing is not to forget the second device with a big red button “Where is the pancake tracker ?!” and a siren with a light to search for him in the dark. And yet - active protection against moisture / shock, etc.
I'm not kidding - sometimes you have to quickly and in the dark look for all the electronics, for example, if the tent is flooded.
I would buy this for a child, yes, to see where this imp is

And what is the target audience?
For example, for trucking, important parameters are fuel level readings (they are especially interested in a sharp drop near the driver’s house), an ignition signal (one of the main ones when working with the Yandex.Traffic affiliate program), etc. And for cars, such sensors cost about the same $ 100 .
Z.Y. Keep in mind that your key fobs will not work inside office and educational institutions, as well as between skyscrapers - only in the open air. It turns out for athletes and orienteering enthusiasts, what would they then find in the mountains?

I'm looking all over, but I can't find a miniature tracker for running without a screen and gprs. I want the device to record every 5-10 seconds the coordinates in its memory. Then connect via USB and export them to some service for viewing on Google Maps or the like.

Certainly needed. At one time I was looking for a miniature GPS, but I did not find anything worthwhile.
I think the device will be useful to many people: they can be hung on the collar of a cat or dog, given to children. Going with a panic button from ilyaplot is also great.

Put android there.
It is advisable to add wifi) or in our age of technology there are a lot of different goodies - rfid / nfc.
Then you will have a choice of software that you can install. And the essence is this - you track to local storage. Once in a while send to the server. And there are already all displays / views / overlays on maps and other necessary analytics.

For such purposes, I bought myself dx.com/p/portable-mini-gsm-gprs-gps-tracker-for-personal-remote-positioning-33331
But I must say I was extremely disappointed in the battery life and now, as a result, I am looking for someone to change it in a simple GPS Logger with sending data from the cache using the SOS button that already exists.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
