You need a jabber client that can download history from the server. The jabber server is deployed on Openfire. At the moment I found only the Vacuum-IM client, but it has too many resources.

If you are talking about mod_archive (aka XEP-0136), then pidgin with the plugin https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/5811, prosody. Maybe something else can be googled by the number of HER-a.
