Do you have to over-fulfill HP in SSMS to make reporting in Delphi work?

Good afternoon.
Question such, I use sheaf Delphi+Mssql through Ado.
The problem is, at some point (once a month), the report in Delphi hangs stupidly. It just freezes and that's it.
In order for it to work normally, you need to execute HP once in SSMS and everything becomes normal in Delphi.
MSSQL 2008 R2
Delphi 7
HP runs for about 10 seconds.

I did not work with the Delphi + Mssql bundle, but I would recommend doing stress testing of HP first locally on the database server (if possible), and then remotely.
Additionally, check whether the request generates a lot of traffic
and, in the meantime, monitor the database load in real time.
Well, in general, if the request processing itself is slow, then I tend to think that the OS + DB bundle is to blame.
