I am learning Javascript and I am thinking of participating in the localization of MDN into Russian in order to consolidate my knowledge in two languages. Will this be useful to someone, or do Russian-speaking developers use something else?

And let's not. I personally had to correct the translation in one of the articles, because there was a diametrically opposite meaning of the phrase in the translation.
