Do people use QR codes or is it still useless?
Greetings
I need to add something to the order confirmation page. I thought about placing a QR-code-business card so that the customer does not rewrite everything with pens (address, phone number, etc.), but personally I have never used such types of "disclosure, addition" of information in my life. You need to open a market or a store, find a program, download it when you see such a code somewhere, find the program in your smartphone ... You yourself understand - laziness. Do people really use these codes, or is their use essentially a useless "thing in itself", not really used for such purposes in the real world?

I've been analyzing... I've been doing some kind of shit analysis myself, periodically scanning if possible, and the code is readable, because. often they stick it in such a way that no matter how you dance around it with your phone, it is not readable because of its very small size, extremely bad quality, or something "fits" on it, etc.
And I came to this conclusion: these codes in themselves are quite useful and convenient, as a mechanism / method for transmitting certain amounts of information, but they do not take root for a number of reasons, namely:
- Many, if not most, people do not screw at all what it is for the fucking square and from which side to approach it.
Solution: add brief information next to it about how to count it and why it is convenient.
- Useless content! Probably 80-90% of all codes contain absolutely useless crap, such as a URL to some poor site that no one needs. It turns out that he scanned the code - Nasharu poured shit into his phone in the form, as it turns out, spam has already penetrated here! Like, here we are, how modern we are, why encrypt it there, but let's get anything. People scan and: ahaaa! And here you are, take a sip of shit from our company!))
Solution: publish only really useful information. Otherwise nah.
- Well, besides, the most important thing in my opinion is the unknown! Why should someone scan the code, not knowing at all whether he needs info from it or it will be another sip of fresh shit, but only from another company!))
Solution: indicate what information is encrypted in the code so that a person understands whether it will be useful to him or not.
In general, of course, adhering to these rules (what a me! I already wrote down this sheet in the "rules" :))) maybe qr-codes would become more popular. For example, instead of the slag that is now in them, you can encrypt a business card with many parameters, which you scanned and the phone has already entered a contact with all phone numbers, mail, organization name, address, etc. GPS coordinates, if anyone uses the phone. as a navigator, the main technical characteristics of the product, if it is an ordinary store and, in general, a shaft of more useful options ... But for some reason, instead of this, we encrypt the flows of call masses there ... we keep up with the times, epta!))
It is convenient to pay bank payments, enter the qr code in the online application and everything is automatically filled out.
Easy to pay utility bills.
It is convenient to connect to the camera, without a bunch of unnecessary settings (nfc is even more convenient).
In general, it is convenient, but if the qr or site name is indicated on the business card, I would prefer the site name.
