Do I need to rely on IE support when developing sites?

Hello. If you make the site support IE, even 11, then a lot of things will have to be abandoned. Microsoft has dropped support for IE.
When I wrote a site using JS, I noticed that it does not work in IE11! I didn't change any settings! Violence against developers...
Question: Should I spit on IE support?

Do as the client says. IE 11 is still up to date. Win 8 support has not ended yet.

there are two possible answers:
1. yes, if you don't need it.
2. no if you need it.
check the condition at the end, which one fits, that answer is yours.

There are many companies where IE is the only browser available to users.
~5% of users is a lot.
