Do I need to package it as an npm module?

There is a small JS library.
Does it make sense to package it as an npm module if it depends on canvas?
That is, it naturally creates an element in the DOM and <canvas>manipulates images on it.
Can it work on a node at all or leave it alone as a purely front-line one?
