Do I need anything else besides an antivirus to protect against trojans and adware?
Once upon a time, many years ago, in addition to the antivirus, there was a Malwarebytes program on the computer. As stated in the reviews and reviews, the program found and removed what conventional antiviruses did not find. I haven't used it for many years. In connection with the rise of the general informational paranoia, I decided to update this issue for myself. But now the descriptions of most antiviruses already say that they are struggling with this (and malicious extensions in browsers, and worms, and so on).
In this regard, the question is, is there any relevance in installing such programs along with an antivirus, or is there no practical sense today?
Thanks

It takes a brain to protect a PC. Not antiviruses. Usually, the built-in Windows defender is enough
on the edge - kaspersky free, if it’s completely for the grandmother of the PC)
We put it on the wallpaper and do not interfere with the system's work)
