Do I need antivirus and firewall?

On Windows 10, a small-scale antivirus program appeared. It's as bad as the firewall (omg where did they get that word from...)? Can I trust him or is it still worth putting some kind of normal antivirus program? And the firewall? Do you really need a firewall? Or not really?

Since Windows 7 I use only the built-in antivirus.
I have never used a firewall other than the regular one, because the regular one is good enough.

I really don’t know where you got such a word from. And Microsoft uses a normal word - a firewall, or translated into English - firewall.

Do you really need a firewall? Or not really?

It's not the same for everybody. And if you need it, you have to ask. How do we know what you need?

отдельные же файлы проще проверить на https://www.virustotal.com/ или аналогах

Внесу и я свои пять копеек. Штатные неплохие антивирус и брандмауэр. Тут, как уже заметили, вопрос холиварный. Я вот довольствуюсь и щтатными средствами Win8.1 (вот мой предохранитель, сэр %показывает палец%), а супруге поставил Касперский Free да поковырялся в реестре и политиках безопасности, настроил штатное восстановление системы. Тут стоит заметить, довольно мощный инструмент.
Если не чувствуете в себе сил и знаний для самостоятельного предотвращения и устранения последствий заражения - мой ответ, однозначно нужен антивирус. Тот же Касперский стоит не так уж и много.
По поводу брандмауэра; штатного мне не достаточно только на серверах. Но это отдельная история.
Так что ответ на ваш вопрос - определите свои силы, определите риски, определите ценность потенциально уязвимой информации.
