Do I need a powerful video card to record video from the screen?

Which piece of hardware is more heavily loaded if you record the screen, for example, through Bandicam?
processor i7-4790 + intel HD 4600. Writes from directx-window 20 fps in 720p. Those. not at all.
Will buying a normal card solve the problem? in the "bandicam" settings it is not explicitly indicated what is used for recording.

If you record without conversion and processing, then neither a powerful processor nor a video card is required.
All you need is a good hard drive.
If you encode "on the fly" - then either shift the task to the processor - then buy a fast processor, or shift the task to the GPU - then you need a powerful video card.
But it all depends on the software, whether the program can work through the GPU or only the processor.

Your card supports Intel Quick Sync Video. Look for software that supports this technology.

Which piece of iron is more heavily loaded if you record the screen

So freeze. Since directx means Windows, it means there is a lot of software for monitoring the loading of iron (perhaps there is even a regular one).
First of all, it is worth checking the disk subsystem.

For recording raw data - no. To record with compression in some format, it will be useful to speed up compression using a video card...
