Do I need a Cisco sysadmin certificate?
Somewhere I was told that a sysadmin directly needs a cisco certificate to work with cool companies that pay a lot of money, is that true?

Quite useful, many serious offices require.
At least it will be a plus.
A certificate is simply a trusted proof of your knowledge.
If you can confirm knowledge with real work, it is quoted more.
So to speak. For a junior, this is quite good, because it immediately increases the attractiveness of your resume.
Not bad for a midlaner, but 50/50, depending on the availability of money and desire.
It is usually not a problem for a senior to obtain this certificate, but usually it is already possible to confirm qualifications without it.
Do I need a Cisco sysadmin certificate?Ask the sysadmin. Nobody but him knows what he needs.
If he adminit a tsiska - of course it is necessary!
If not and will not be - nakua?
at the beginning of my career in IT, I was also sure that certificates are less important than real knowledge, but anything can happen in life, and when a guy who has less knowledge, but has a certificate, bypasses you when applying for a very cool job - draw conclusions. But there is another point - go through at least the CCNA R&S level without cheat sheets, then you yourself will understand whether networks are interesting to you or it’s not yours at all, and one more reason - I don’t know a single office that would give such deep knowledge as Cisco. Regardless, I still recommend doing it. I say right away that it is not as simple as it seems, especially from the CCNP route level and above.
