I can’t understand if after a couple of years of working without a mouse, exclusively using the touchpad on a Mac Book, the mouse is inconvenient to use. The roofing felts are really too soft and therefore scrolling is very uncomfortable. Mouse Logitech M100r. As an option, I use the touchpad to scroll the screen, and the mouse to click. Or perhaps it is worth exchanging for a more normal model? And I noticed such a chip, if you scroll quickly and sharply, then the screen will scroll sharply, and if slowly, then in general in millimeters, on the one hand the text is convenient to read, on the other hand, when you need to scroll a lot of information, it is not very convenient.

Are you forcing yourself?
Personally, it has never occurred to me to use a mouse in conjunction with or as a replacement for Apple's trackpad. It is ideal if, of course, you are not talking about games.
Дело либо в самой мышке, либо в ее или стороннем софте. Как вариант, гляньте настройки в OS X. Или проверьте другую мышку от другого производителя (но не от Apple).
P. S. Заметил, что у вас тег "APPLE MACBOOK" стоит. Тогда точно не про игры. И тогда я точно не понимаю зачем вам мышь...

Если у вас МАС - что бы родную мышь не купить?
У Логитеч есть разные мыши
Без колесика, с тач поверхностью
Есть с инерционным колесиком с переключением на щелчки
есть M325: просто нормальная ноутбучная мышь, на работе их больше 10 - никто не жаловался.

Logitech Marathon - вполне себе отличное колесо.
M100r - мышь за 5 баксов, чего вы от неё хотите?

Я с ноутбуком использую Logitech MX Anywhere 2. В этой мышке самое лучшее колесико из всех мышек которые у меня были (перед ней были модели Logitech M705 и M525). Есть два режима. Инерционная прокрутка и щелчками. Но у этой мыши тоже недостатков хватает. Тут обзор этой мыши есть.
