Disk partitioning for LVM after setup and disk usage?

The disk that is paired with lvm is used to store data, but by mistake this physical partition is not marked as LVM 8e, can I mark this disk as lvm without stopping and losing data?

Can. The 8e mark is not necessary for LVM to work.
