DISK C clogged by itself, rebooting the PC helped but for a while and on a new one. What to do?

I saw that the C drive was full, but it was not possible to restart the PC and everything went back to normal, even 50% is not full after a few minutes I go in the same 300mb left. What exactly I don't understand612d041c689a0514292207.png612d04250d410530465579.png612d042b4e399886243577.png

WizTree scans directly the MFT of a drive and shows files from there, the most accurate tool to detect files taking up space. Well, if it turns out that the place in the binary map is occupied, but it is not occupied by any of the files, then chkdsk will help.
PS What is drive E: so guilty?

Are there very many important files on the C drive? if yes copy look for half an hour may take I don't know. depends on how many files you have there. reinstall windows when you throw off all the files and the browser copy or synchronize to google something like there bookmarks history and format the disk so that for sure and reinstall windows

This phenomenon often occurs if adobe packages (photoshop, illustrator, etc.) are installed on this disk, they clog the disk with their cache

  1. It is also worth checking how much space is allocated for the recovery point and reducing it if necessary (so that there are fewer points and they are overwritten, and not added to the queue as new ones)
  2. Turn off disk indexing (RMB on the disk and uncheck the boxes below).
Of course, the memory of drive C is affected by temporary files that are located in the windows - Temp folders and in the Users - User - Appdata - Temp directory
  3. Use Ccleaner as an option to remove junk
  4. If you use adoba "mi - set the working folder / cache folder / media folder to another drive
  5. check the task scheduler, maybe there is some kind of crap that is trying to load something

I had the same thing the other day on my working computer of a 3d animator, but he had problems with Windows and had to reinstall it completely to 0, after that everything became normal

Dism++ . There is a good garbage disposal there.
