Disable GSM in Android?
Is it possible to somehow disable constant GSM communication in an Android tablet so that GSM works only in data transfer mode? It is necessary in order to save batteries, I do not need a telephone connection on the tablet.
Is there some kind of built-in feature or third party app?

I did the same thing with AutomateIt
Created 2 rules:
1.
"Connect to WiFi network" trigger (SSID parameters - any network and status - Disabled).
action "Mobile Internet Management" is enabled
2.
trigger "Connect to WiFi network" (SSID parameters - any network and status - Enabled).
“Mobile Internet Management” action is disabled
But the GSM module can be completely disabled in AtomateIt Pro… where several actions can be assigned to one trigger (enable the “airplane” mode (disable GSM and WiFi), enable WiFi).
1. Dial *#*#4636#*#* (or use an application like 4636 - calls the same debug screen)
2. Select Phone Information
3. Press Turn off radio
It is not clear how you want data transmission via GSM to work when the module is turned off?
Even if you can do this, using the tablet will be terribly inconvenient. Every time you get on the Internet, you will have to wait until the GSM module turns on, registration in the cellular network passes, and only after that the connection will rise. Several tens of seconds, or even a minute or two, the whole process will take.
Try Airplane Mode Wi-Fi Tool . Allows you to turn on the “flyer mode”, but do not turn off WiFi at the same time. True, this is not a completely automated solution, when GPS is needed, you will have to turn it on by hand.
