Please tell me, I can't find the directory:
Directory $JAVA_HOME/sample/nio
JDK installed.
Where can it be or do I need to install / download something additionally?

Scroll down a bit and there is Java SE Development Kit 7u51 Demos and Samples Downloads for each operating system (how cynical it sounds for Java :- ) ).
