Dilemma with AngularFireDatabase, what's the difference?

Greetings!
I wanted to know what is the difference between:

import { AngularFireDatabase } from 'angularfire2/database-deprecated';

and

import { AngularFireDatabase } from 'angularfire2/database';

?
The only thing I can notice myself is that the database-deprecated service needs to be run manually in the root module.
And is there a link to FirebaseListObservable here?
