Different components for IOS and Android?

The situation has developed so that there is a component that works well on IOS, but does not work at all on Android, in order to make money on Android, you need to overhaul it. There was an idea to make different components for different OS. Is this a normal practice or is it worth trying to ensure that one component works correctly on both operating systems?

Ideally, of course, it would be better to make one component for both OSes, but if there is no other way out, and the project needs to be completed, then write different ones.
