Differences between Ubuntu and Mint?

Always interested in the question: what are the advantages of Linux Mint over Ubuntu?
In particular, Ubuntu 10.10 (now I'm sitting on it) before Linux Mint 12

If there are experienced users, I'll be happy to hear criticism!

Thanks in advance

Ubuntu does not like unity, mint is similar to Windows.
I recommend either debian or ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Purely because of stability and Gnome 2.
