I advise you to install Genymotion and the corresponding plugin in AndroidStudio, because. the problem is most likely in the stock AndroidStudio emulator

Irrelevant.
KVM and JVM are different things.

If it's pure java, then no problem. If android - then it seems like there are problems with AndroidStudio, but you can use Eclipse instead.

Virtualization for Java is not needed. Yes, it is not necessary for Android development either, you can run the emulator, it will work, but not quickly (and if you use an arm image, then virtualization will not help anyway). There will be no problems with AndroidStudio itself (as well as with the parent IDEA, Eclipse, etc.), everything starts and works.

You can not use a standard emulator, but use Genymotion, it can work without Intel virtualization, though there will be brakes.
