Development for iOS. What is the best thing to do, what to choose and is it worth it at all?

Guys, I want to learn how to write applications for iOS. I myself am a telecommunications systems engineer, but I don’t like working in my specialty at all. I never did programming, but sometimes I watched how a friend wrote codes and “something” came out of it, and all this became very interesting to me. Already for 2 years there is a desire to start (I traveled abroad, it was not possible, but now there is a good financial base under my feet), now I just passionately want to, but I would not want to “right off the bat”. Therefore, I decided to ask for advice from the pros in this area.
In general:
1) I am 25 years old now. Isn't it too late to start learning development at this age, when there is emptiness behind you in this field?
2) Is the MacBook Air 13 (latest model) suitable for application development? (iPhone + iPad already available) If not, please tell me what to take.
3) Are there any books or courses for dummies on Swift? I would be very grateful!
I do not plan to develop my applications, because. no special ideas yet. And here is the following: what is the best thing to do, read books and then go to courses, or all together?
Will it be possible after the courses to get a job at least for an internship with a min salary, so that later I can grow up to a junior for some time and then try to freelance? Or how does it even happen, how did it happen for you?
I would be very grateful for any advice!

1) it's not too late. there is a desire to go ahead.
2) more than
about the strategy - it is possible in different ways. there is an opportunity to go to courses - go to courses. extra stimulation plus a teacher to ask a question is a great thing. there is no possibility - you can do it yourself.
I don’t know about your place of residence, but most likely you will be able to get a job, especially since you have a pillow and you can even work conditionally for free.
Read books to a minimum, read one or two and go ahead sawing bicycles - a calculator, a graphing calculator, a list of tasks, a catalog of music ... what everyone writes there ......
as a rule, in our Palestinians, a beginner should be able to figure out what he is doing :
1) chat on firebase with history saved;
2) input field. enter the address, with the addition using geocoding ... for example, Yandex. after which we show the map positioned to this address.
Not the fact that with such a base they will take it everywhere, but they will definitely take it somewhere)
