Desktop development, C++ and perspectives?
Does it make sense now to learn C++ for desktop development? I think this is the best solution, but the scary thing is that all jobs require a lot of experience, which, in the case of C ++, I don’t even know where to get it. Tried to learn C# and Java. The second one is disgusting, the first one I like, even very much, I would love to write on it, but I'm sitting on Linux, and I don't feel like going back to windows at all. I don't know of any other mainstream languages suitable for the desktop. Where to dig? What to teach?

A programming language is just a tool for solving problems. Now you are trying to pick up a tool without a clear task. It's like you would say "I want to make repairs in the house, what does not need to learn how to use - a screwdriver, a hammer, or something else?". Decide on a specific task. If we talk about working as a developer, desktop software for Linux is an extremely unclaimed direction. But, again, an OS for a developer is also a tool, you should not get hung up on a particular OS and solve all tasks with its help, just because "you don't want to use windows at all." A commercial desktop socket is in 90% of cases Windows.
What does "prospects for c ++" mean ... for system programming, it is more alive than all the living, and in fact there are few alternatives in this vein. In combination with qt, you can sculpt very nice application applications, although you can do it under gtk and under whatever you want ...
What kind of fashion for such questions ... is it really difficult to at least somehow indulge yourself ...
I would still take up C ++, and look towards Qt. This is a purely subjective opinion, some time ago I had to develop desktop applications cross-platform under Win / Linux. True, no one gave me a choice, the transition to both the language and the framework was forced, but the impressions from this bundle are excellent.
