Delphi on Habré is dead?
Actually on the topic: I haven’t seen anything interesting in Delphi for a long time on Habré.
Should I even think about writing a topic on Delphi, new Delphi technologies? Maybe write something related to Lazarus (Linux)?
I look forward to your ideas and suggestions. If the direction is bad, then immediately take me off this path :)
UPD: Any specific wishes are also accepted :)

I would say that Delphi is not so much dead on Habré as it has ceased to be popular and massive at all.
The words “on habré” are superfluous in the subject :)
And wish ... Happiness and success in the new year! :)
I would be interested to know why you are in Delphi and not, say, in Java or C#. Advantages and disadvantages at present.
Delphi is not dead, it's just that they won't put it on habré like C# and, in general, the whole .Net.
There is a company on Habré that ate Devexpress on Delphi, but they also do not write about Delphi or Delphi.
It would be interesting to read from Embarcadero on Delphi.
Lazarus is a very interesting project, if only someone could write how it is possible to port components from Delphi to it.
It is also interesting to read about the development and experience of using KOL and MCK both under Delphi and under Lazarus.
Delphi is one of the first programming languages that I learned, so I personally would be interested to read how this language develops without me =)
hmm... haven't read about Delphi for a long time.
I'm generally interested in how you can connect to the MySQL database in Delphi, you can write about it ...
If you start writing, then good luck to you!
interested in articles about lazarus, its differences from dedfi, differences in working with lazarus in Windows and under Linux, etc.
Write. Delphi is not dead. Who wants to be aware of the news, there is a good Russian site with news delphiplus.org/. I have been programming in Delphi for over 12 years.
Write about new features. I have a couple of posts for examples here:
xdenser.blogspot.com/ By the
way, I'm also wondering if it makes sense to translate and publish it here.
Yes. In the age of the Internet, you need to describe applications for it. ;)
New in delphi... If you come up with it, it will be very interesting to read.
Despite the fact that I have not written in Delphi for a long time, I still have warm feelings for it :)
It would be interesting to read about the creation of custom UI. And then at one time I encountered the fact that the VCL turned out to be extremely crooked and buggy for the development of non-standard graphic skinnable controls.
Just don’t write about Lazarus, such a miserable environment ... well, honestly ... But I read about Delphi itself with great pleasure :)
Delphi, of course, is not dead, but this is not a promising direction. Today, Delphi is an environment for maintaining and developing the so-called "legacy systems" operated in the bowels of large corporations, as well as replicated software developed by software companies during the period of popularity of Borland development tools (all 90s and until the mid-2000s). ), the transfer of which to other platforms is not yet economically justified.
I've recently got in touch with graphics and video. It would be interesting to read what analogues are in Delphi, how to work with them ...
the only valuable advice would be to purchase a book from the Arkhangelsk reference guide for delphi 6, it seems, or programming in delphi 7. and in habré ... in delphi habré, something is not visible at all, your truth, here write an article - we will read it
It would be interesting to me to esteem about sheaf Delphi with Oracle RDBMS.
The fate of the FIB library is also interesting, because of it I can’t switch to a more recent version of the compiler.
It seems to me that Delphi stopped at version 7. This, in my opinion, is its peak of development, and sometimes in the evenings I still write for pleasure on Delphi 7. By the way, you shouldn't say that he is dead on Habré. Now I have an article in drafts, just indirectly affecting programming in Delphi.
