Dell Inspiron 3542 TN - IPS panel replacement?
Hello, dear community members, I have a Dell Inspiron 3542 laptop and a very strong desire to replace the native TN with IPS, the native 15.6 inch BOE TN matrix in Everest is knocked out as: BOE0615 2GC9W_NT156WH
More precise specifications:
Size: 15.6-inch WideScreen (13.6"x7. 6")
Resolution: WXGA (1366x768) HD
Surface type: Glossy
Backlight type: LED
Data cable connector: 30 pin LED socket
Notebook specifications:
i7-4510u
GeForce 840m and 4400 integrated graphics
The question itself:
Is it possible to replace the matrix with IPS with Full HD, or a matrix with only HD resolution is suitable and by what criteria to select this very matrix.

Look at the size, type of attachment (where it is screwed to the case), type of backlight, connector (the one that is 30pin) and its location. the wire to this place fits right next to it.
Then you need to somehow find out one or two channel LVDS on your mother, this is the one (30pin), if single-channel then you fly with FullHD, but most likely it is two-channel, but the cable going to the matrix is single-channel and you will also need to find a suitable two-channel in size plume.
This is real. And it's easy if the laptop of this model has a suitable matrix among the equipment. If not, then it’s hemorrhoids, to sit and select all the parameters and not make a mistake, it’s easier to take it to a service in which there are many matrices available, they will simply pick up by brute force what will fit and start up. But it may also turn out that there is no suitable other matrix at the moment.
