Debian - which disk to download?

Hello, now I have Windows 8 on my laptop, I would really like to switch to Debian, I already sat on Linuxe, approximately - I understand correctly what's what.
So far, the only question I have is which Debian disk to download in order to start using the Internet normally from the Megafon USB modem?
PS I sat on Ubuntu, I would like to download, install and start using it.

The difference in disks is only in the presence of different software on them.
Download any and, if necessary, put various things.

If the modem is very new, it's not a fact that the Internet will start in debian without dancing. I still think the best solution would be to look at Mint

If for some reason you want Debian and not Ubuntu, then download at least mini.iso, and then deliver everything else over the network. If you just want to install GNU / Linux again, then download Ubuntu 14.04 (which disk depends on what you want right after installing DE) and install it.
