Debian + nginx long first server response?

I'm pretty green in server administration, but I have an inexpensive server on Debian + nginx, for a long time everything was fine, but now after a downtime (about 3 hours), the first response to the first request comes in 5-8 seconds. Can you tell me which direction to go?
