Debian downgrade to 8?

There is a server, but the script is already sharpened for d 8 and there is absolutely no desire to cut it to 9 straight.
server is clean.
How to make a valid downgrade?

It's easier to reinstall everything than to downgrade. and what's the problem with sharpening under debian 9? if the script works on debian 8, then it will work on debian 9 as all software/paths match both there and there.
