Debian. Complement command (options)?
Good afternoon.
Debian 6 is installed on the virtual machine. When installing the software, apt-get install (and here you already enter the first letters and then double TAB, there is a suggestion of options that are suitable for installation).
When I start MidnightCommander and turn off the panels Ctrl+O I do the same thing, no padding happens.
I took a virtual server from Hetzner with Debian minimal for testing. There, too, there is no addition of options (MC is not running).
What could be the problem? where to look for a solution?

On Hetzner you most likely have bash and don't have bash-completion installed.
When you start mc, ctrl+o doesn't it start another shell like dash that doesn't have autocomplete?
in terminal? Autocompletes are features of specific terminal emulators.
