Xs, over the past couple of years, mint (+mate) already seems like a buggy craft to me. What annoys:
1. Over time, overgrown with a bunch of additional repositories. And now, with a periodic update, it swears that some of these reps are no longer available, some of the downed gpg ...
2. Mate is certainly good, the same good old gnome 2, but ... often happens when installing some software not from reps, and gtk + deb-files breaks
3. Non-standard X launchers (mdm by default), you can’t figure out what to do right away.
4. Marco, as a standard window manager, also brings pleasure when updating.
In general, in the end, I took everything mint and replaced mate with xfce, mdm with slim, I took debian test turnips ... only one desktop remained from mint)
