Databases online. What would you use?

There is a platform that allows you to create arbitrary databases online. The complexity of the structure does not matter much, as well as the amount of data.
I would like to create several projects on public databases, which could be replenished by different users. For example:

  • DB of books with barcodes
  • DB of car parts
  • DB of music discs/groups, etc.
  • DB of electronic components
  • recipe database
  • ... etc.

What online databases do people need? Or which one would you use?

And call it "Wikipedia"?
Different people need different ones, so in principle you can start anywhere. Cataloging a variety of content (including those available via the web) looks like the most promising for you - i.e. from the listed book, music. It will be difficult to get involved in the specifics of the type of electronic components or auto parts, IMHO - it's better to leave it for later. A database of actual sites and web resources is not a new idea either.
Here, in my opinion, it will be important not what you catalog but how. What search functions by parameters are available, etc. If there are no useful and unique features, then they will not use it.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
