Hey Habr! Can you please tell me where to get such a database, ideally in any easily parsable format (there are connectors for it in Python, or is it XML/CSV/JSON/SQL)?

download.geonames.org/export/dump/ - huge databases for all countries, names in a bunch of languages. The data is presented in the form of relational tables, by means of appropriate join'ov it is possible to receive almost anything.
