Data visualization software?

I am doing term paper, the work is more humanitarian than technical.
One of the most important parts in the work is visualization and visibility of the result.
It is necessary to present the data approximately in the following way:
Object-Connection (a rather important place is given to the connection, it is necessary to indicate in detail how the connection is carried out, it is possible to add some other indirect connections)-Object
Previously, I always used mental maps (FreeMind, MindManager) in my work, but now it does not work, you need something with more advanced functionality.
Something cumbersome like a vector editor is not quite suitable, because it is necessary to flexibly cut the schemes.
I roughly imagine the result as follows:

I can’t even imagine how it is possible to effectively and flexibly draw a scheme of this scale. Most interesting. I suspect that it will be approximately equally inconvenient for any choice.
If it is the relationships between entities and their properties that are important to you, then you need to look for exactly the software for building ER diagrams ( here is a rather sickly list).

I draw in gliffy.com instead of visio

Not all mindmap tools are equally good.
Looking, for example, at www.xmind.net/share/featured/1/, I understand that this cannot be done on FreeMind (however, there are reverse examples)

By the way, if anyone is interested, I decided to stop at MindJet MindManager and finish the missing elements.
