Cygwin. Why is bash-completion missing?

I use cygwin as a Linux console from under Windows. For some reason completely incomprehensible to me, bash-completion suddenly stopped working. Auto-completion does not work on pressing tab, and at least that! I already reinstalled cygwin, checked during installation that I put the bash-completion package, it doesn’t work anyway! What could be the reason?
